Black Gold Promotions, LLC. is a promotion company for cage fighting in the mid-west that was formed in 2008 by Jeff Searles & Kevin Gottschalk. Jeff & Leon Huxman formed "Team Xtreme" in early 2008 to help area fighters find fights around Kansas. With Kevin stepping in to training the fighters, "T
eam Xtreme" began having success. After attending mma events all around the state, Kevin & Jeff felt that they could bring mma cagefighting to western Kansas. After licensing Black Gold Promotions,LLC. & filing for the permits with the Kansas Boxing Commission, They put on their 1st show in Ellis County on December 6th, 2008. With their 1st show being a success, they purchased a Hexagon cage and scheduled their next show for March 21st, 2009 in Russell, Kansas. Kevin & Jeff would like to put on 3 to 4 shows a year in western Kansas. Kevin has taught karate & mma for 33 years and is the owner/trainer at Karate Fitness in Hays, Kansas. Kevin has also traveled all over the U.S. and several countries competing & is a 2x NBL World Champion. Jeff is the owner of Xtreme Well Service along with Leon Huxman and has lived in Russell, Kansas for 22 years. With fighters coming in from all over the mid-west and putting on "Vegas" style shows, Kevin & Jeff plan to grow with the sport of mma in 2009 and beyond.
